Privacy Policy
Eventually Ticketing Inc. (“Eventually”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) understands your concerns with regard to how information about you is used and shared, and we appreciate your trust that we will use and share information about you carefully and sensibly.
This Privacy Policy (this “Policy”) applies to information about you collected when you interact with our websites, including any website that links back to this Policy (collectively, the “Website”), and when you access, use, interact with or purchase our products, programs, services, information, content, and features through the Website (collectively, the “Services”). While this Policy describes how we treat personal information we collect from the Website, please be aware that additional terms and conditions, including the Terms of Service, apply to the use of the Website.
This Policy describes what information we collect about you in relation to your use of the Website and the Services, how we collect it, how we use it, with whom we may share it, and what choices you have regarding it.
Please read this Policy carefully. By accessing or using the Website or the Services, including without limitation by registering an account with us, you agree that you have read and understand this Policy and that you accept and consent to the privacy practices (and any uses and disclosures of information about you) that are described in this Policy.
Eventually as a Service Provider
When we act as a service provider for our customers, we may collect personal information to fulfill our contractual obligations. When we act as a service provider, we follow the instructions of our customers on how to process personal information on our customer’s behalf. Any additional agreed upon terms, including without limitation the Terms of Service, will supplement this Privacy Policy. To the extent such terms are inconsistent with the Privacy Policy, such additional terms shall govern.
Collection of Your Personal Information
Information you provide to us. We collect the information you provide directly to us when you register an account, purchase or request any Services, submit documents, content, or other information to the Website, fill out a registration or other form, complete a survey, request information, send us an inquiry or other communication, or otherwise interact with us or the Website or the Services. This information may include:
- Name
- Email address
- Account information (including password, profile image, and account settings)
- Time zone
- Other information requested by hosts who make events available to you through our Services
- Any other information regarding your utilization of the Website and the Services
When an event has assigned seating and you choose a wheelchair space or a companion seat, we process that choice only to seat you as requested. We do not ask for or record health information.
Information we collect automatically. We may collect information that is collected automatically as you use and navigate the Website, including information collected through cookies, pixel tags, and other tracking technologies. This information may include usage details, email address, IP address, device and online identifiers, the identity of your Internet service provider, the name and version of your operating system, the name and version of your browser, the date and time of your visit (and the number of your visits), the pages you visit, the length of your visit, average time spent, and the websites you visit before coming to and after leaving the Website. The information we receive may depend on your browser or device settings. For more information on how the Website uses tracking technologies, please see our Cookie Policy and the section below titled “Use of Tracking Technologies.”
Referral links and partner codes. When you follow a link that names a partner or campaign to our sign-up page, our sign-in page, the application’s home page, or our Squarespace extension install page, we record the link’s utm_ values (such as the partner’s name) and the time you arrived, and copy them onto the account you then create, where they are kept as its referral source. A link that names a partner we work with is treated the same way when it opens any other page of the application that asks you to sign in first, and the partner’s values go on with you to our sign-in page. A partner can also be named by our affiliate program’s own link, or by its cookie where you allow Performance and Analytics (Rootabl, described in our Cookie Policy), and a preview you claim within 30 days of making it is credited with the utm_ values of the link you made it from, or with a partner your claim names in one of those ways. A partner we work with takes precedence over any other source. If you enter a partner’s discount code at your first paid subscription, then once that subscription is paid for we record that partner as your account’s referral source in place of any other source, together with the fact that the code did so and the source it replaced. We use these records to credit the partner or campaign that referred you, including Squarespace’s Extension Store, and we rely on our legitimate interest in doing so. Where you allow Performance and Analytics, we hold them in a cookie until your account exists, as our Cookie Policy describes. If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, or we cannot tell where you are, and you have not made a choice yet, a partner’s values ride the sign-up form itself when you sign up in that visit, and nothing is kept until the form creates your account. When you install our extension in that visit instead, we hold them on our server, tied to that one install request and never stored in your browser. We use them only if Squarespace approves the install within 15 minutes of that request and you then create your account within 25 minutes of that approval; otherwise they are not used. We delete the copy we hold for the install within about two hours of that request, whether or not it is used. We never hold them this way if you chose “Only necessary”, and we do not copy them onto your account if you choose it before the account is created.
Information from other sources. We may receive information about you from our third-party service, affiliates, customers, and partners, including our marketing, conference, and advertising partners and social media networks. For example, we receive information on our email campaigns from our third-party service providers, including whether you have read an email sent by us or on our behalf, forwarded an email, and when and how many times you have opened an email. We may also receive information from third-party analytics on the Website that allows us to improve our Website. We may also collect information about you from publicly available sources.
Use of Your Personal Information
We use your information in order to provide the Website and the Services to you and any additional services you request, as well as to respond to inquiries and other communications from you.
Generally, we may use the information we collect from you to:
- Provide you with the Website, the Services, and any other information or services you request. For example, we may use your information to provide certain features and functions of the Website and the Services and to otherwise respond to and process your requests.
- Support the Website, the Services, and our business. For example, we may use your information to respond to inquiries and troubleshoot any issues with the Website or the Services.
- Manage our business needs, such as improving the Website and the Services and developing new services and offerings. For example, we ingest your information within the Website to conduct research and analytics about the way you and other users use the Website and to further train and improve its content, functionality, and ease of use. We may also use your information in aggregated, anonymized, or otherwise de-identified form for our other business purposes, including to develop new products and services.
- Market, promote, and provide other information regarding our services and offerings (including the Website and the Services and products and services of our third-party business partners). For example, we may use your information to tailor our offerings to your preferences and interests and to send you information about our and/or our third-party business partners’ products, services, and offerings that we think may be of interest to you.
- Manage risk and protect the Website. We use data to better protect the Website, the Services, and you by enhancing Website security and helping to detect and prevent fraud and abuse of the Website and the Services.
- Comply with our other contractual, legal, and regulatory obligations. We will use your information as necessary to enforce the terms of the Website and the Services, to address emergency situations, and to comply with our contractual obligations and applicable legal requirements.
- Carry out other purposes for which you provide your consent. For example, we will use your information for other purposes which are disclosed to you at the time your information is collected or for purposes which can be inferred from or are obvious given the circumstances of collection.
Disclosure of Your Personal Information
We may disclose your personal information with third parties as follows:
- with service providers and business partners that assist us in providing Services offered through the Website, including, but not limited to, payment processors, website hosts, analytics providers, services related to technical maintenance, database management, or advertising and marketing research, generative artificial intelligence (“AI”) providers, and our sub-processors listed at https://www.eventuallyticketing.com/subprocessors (such list may be updated from time to time in our sole discretion);
- to comply with our legal obligations or requests from law enforcement and government agencies;
- to enforce or protect the Terms of Service, any additional terms of our Services, and our rights, property, safety, and that of our users or third parties;
- as part of due diligence for, or the consummation of, a transaction involving the merger, sale, divestiture, or other transaction involving the equity or assets of the company; or
- otherwise in accordance with consent you’ve provided, including but not limited to disclosure in order to enable integrations with third-party providers at your direction.
We may also disclose aggregated, de-identified information; analyses; and reports derived from such information with others for any legal purpose.
Your Choices
We offer certain choices about how we communicate with you and what information we obtain about you and share with others.
Account. If you have registered an account on the Website, you can update, modify, or delete certain of your account information and preferences after you log into your account using the features and functionalities available there. You may also contact us at the email address below for assistance in updating, modifying, or deleting any of your information. For the avoidance of doubt, you acknowledge that deleting your account will remove your log-in, but will not automatically delete your data relating to events, attendee records, or order history belonging to your organization. Requests to delete that additional data must be submitted separately.
Email Preferences. You may opt out from receiving future promotional or informational emails from us by following the instructions for unsubscribing in the emails we send to you or by contacting us at the email address below. However, you cannot opt out of transactional emails related to your account registration or other transactions with us.
Do Not Track. While we take reasonable steps to protect the privacy of our Website visitors, we cannot promise that the current limitations of our online applications’ programming will address every browser setting or honor every personal browser preference. In particular, we have not implemented the necessary program changes to honor “Do Not Track” or “DNT” browser signals. As our online applications programming is refined, we will take reasonable steps to honor such requests in the future. Please return to this Policy for further updates on this topic.
Website Demo
Our Website offers a demo that shows what your events could look like on your own website. You do not need an account to use it. This section describes what the demo collects and what happens to it. It applies in addition to the rest of this Policy.
What we collect. When you request a demo, we collect:
- The website address and the event description you enter, and, if you followed a link from one of our tools such as our fee calculator, the ticket price, seats and sessions that link carried.
- Text and images we read from the public website you name: its title, its description, a short sample of its text (up to about 2,000 characters), and some of its images. We read its home page and at most one other page on the same site that looks like an events or about page. To match the demo to the website's look, our servers also read a few of the stylesheets its home page uses, the Adobe Fonts kit it loads if it uses one, and its logo file, and take its colors, logo and typefaces from them. We read only pages and files anyone can open without signing in.
- The browser details recorded when you request the demo: your IP address, your browser's user-agent string, the page you came from, your time zone, language and screen width, and any campaign values in the link you followed.
- If we ask for one, the email address you give us to see your finished demo, the IP address you send it from, the time you sent it, the version of the consent wording you were shown, and whether you ticked the box to receive tips and updates about Eventually.
Why we collect it. We use the website and the description to build your demo: the business's name, colors, logo, typefaces, photos and wording, a few sample events, and an estimate of what those events could bring in. We use your email address to send you the private link to your demo, to fill in the claim form if you go on to create an account from it, and, only if you ticked the box, to send you tips and updates about Eventually. We use the browser details and the IP address to protect the demo from abuse and to understand how the demo is used.
Who processes it. The demo uses these service providers, each listed on our sub-processors page:
- Anthropic, which provides the AI model that writes the demo. It receives your event description, the business type, the website address, the business name, and the website's title, description and text sample. Before the text is sent, we automatically remove the email addresses, phone numbers and street addresses we can recognize in it. Anthropic never receives your email address.
- Brandfetch, which we ask for the logo and colors of the website's domain. The demo page shows that logo from Brandfetch's servers, so Brandfetch receives your IP address and browser user-agent when you view it.
- Unsplash, which supplies stock photos when the website does not have enough of its own. Our servers search Unsplash for them. In the current version of the demo we copy the chosen photos to our own storage and show them from there; in the earlier version, which some visitors still see, the page loads them from Unsplash's servers, so Unsplash receives your IP address and browser user-agent.
- Postmark, which delivers the email with the private link to your demo.
- Customer.io, which sends our marketing email. Until you create an account, it hears about you only if you ticked the box to receive tips and updates; if you left it unticked, we do not send it your email address or anything else about the demo. If you create an account, your account's own emails go through Customer.io as described in the rest of this Policy. If you ticked it, Customer.io receives your email address, the demo's link identifier, the business type, the consent version, the fact that you ticked the box and the time you gave your address, and every email it sends lets you unsubscribe. If you then create an account from the demo, we tell Customer.io so it can stop email about the demo, and we merge the two records if you used a different address.
- PostHog, which receives the steps you reach in the demo (requested, built, email given, account created), keyed by the demo's link identifier until you create an account and by your account's internal identifier after. PostHog never receives your email address.
- Cloudflare (Turnstile), Google Fonts and Senja, whose code or files the demo pages load in your browser: Turnstile checks the request form for abuse, Google Fonts serves the page's fonts and, when the website you named uses a Google font, that typeface too, and Senja shows customer testimonials while the earlier version of the demo page builds. Each receives your IP address and browser user-agent.
- Adobe Fonts, when the website you named uses an Adobe Fonts kit. The demo page loads that kit in your browser so the demo can show the website's typefaces. Adobe receives your IP address and browser user-agent, and the kit also sends Adobe a page-view request of its own (from
p.typekit.net).
The website you named. The demo page can also show that website's own logo and load its own font files straight from the website's servers (or from the servers of the website builder it runs on), so that website's operator, and its builder, receive your IP address and browser user-agent when you view the demo.
Photos and other files from the demo are kept in our own storage with Cloudflare. If you create an account from the demo, the photos stay with the events in your account.
How long we keep it. If you do not create an account from your demo, we delete the demo, the demo account we built to show it, the photos we copied for it, the text we read from your site, the rest of the browser details recorded with it and your email address ninety (90) days after you requested it. We delete the AI model's raw response, both IP addresses (the one you requested the demo from and the one you sent your email address from) and your browser's user-agent string thirty (30) days after you requested the demo, whether or not you create an account from it. If you create an account from your demo, we delete the copy of your email address kept with the demo, because your account then holds it: at once if you left the box unticked, and, if you ticked it, as soon as we have told Customer.io about your new account, and no more than two days later. The rest is kept as part of your account's history under the rest of this Policy. We also keep two fingerprints of your email address with each demo. Each is a code made from the address with a secret key, and neither can be turned back into the address. One lets us find every demo connected to your address if you ask us to delete them, including one you have turned into an account. The other is made from the address with variations such as a "+" tag removed, so that one inbox receives no more than a few demo emails a day however the address is written. We use them for nothing else. Both are deleted with the demo, or when you ask us to forget your address. Customer.io keeps your record until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it.
Your choices. You can unsubscribe from marketing email at any time using the link in any such email. The email with your demo's link is sent at most once, whether or not you ticked the box. To have us delete everything the demo collected about you, email us at [email protected] from the address you gave us, or tell us that address. We will delete every demo that address unlocked and that you have not turned into an account, with their demo accounts and photos, remove the fingerprints, IP addresses and browser user-agent string from any demo you did turn into an account, and delete the Customer.io record kept for that address, if you ticked the box. Your account itself holds the address in its own right; deleting your account is a separate request, described under "Account" above.
Other people's websites. Anyone can enter any public website address into the demo. We read only public pages, the finished demo is shown only to someone who has its private link, and everything read for it is deleted on the schedule above. If you believe a demo was made from your website and you would like it removed, contact us at [email protected].
Use of Tracking Technologies
Eventually uses cookies and other tracking technologies on the Website to help us provide better customer service, enhance the user experience, and deliver personalized content. For more information about the use of tracking technologies on the Website, please review our Cookie Policy. You can manage the use of cookies and other tracking technologies on the Website here.
Location of the Website
The Website is hosted and operated in the United States.
If you are not a resident of the United States, you acknowledge and agree that we may collect and use your personal information outside your home jurisdiction, and that we may store your personal information in the United States or elsewhere. Please note that the level of legal protection provided in the United States from which you may access the Website may not be as stringent as that under privacy standards or the privacy laws of other countries, possibly including your home jurisdiction. Users from jurisdictions outside the United States visit us at their own choice and risk.
Information Retention
We will keep your information for the period necessary to fulfil the purposes described in this Policy, and until your account is terminated or you ask us to delete your information. After termination of your account, you have thirty (30) days to export your data. If you do not export your data within this timeframe, we may delete your data after ninety (90) days, subject to rolling encrypted backup cycles. Additionally, processed webhook payloads from our platform integration are deleted automatically after thirty (30) days, and integration request logs are deleted automatically after ninety (90) days. Security records we keep to protect accounts and the Services (for example failed sign-in attempts, password reset requests, and requests we blocked or refused), including the IP address involved and a one-way coded form of any email address entered rather than the address itself, are deleted automatically after ninety (90) days. Separately, each password sign-in attempt is recorded in our application logs with its outcome and the IP address it came from, identified by your account id when the email address entered belongs to an account, or by the email address as entered when it does not, so we can help someone who cannot sign in and spot attempts to guess passwords. We never record what is entered in the password field, though if a password is typed into the email field by mistake it is recorded as entered. Those logs are held by our error-tracking provider and kept for up to thirty (30) days. What our website demo collects is kept and deleted as described under "Website Demo" above.
